Inspections, Consulting & Blower Door Testing
COMMERCIAL AIR TIGHTNESS
Our commercial air tightness testing helps verify that buildings achieve their specified airtightness targets and comply with project requirements. From offices and warehouses to schools, healthcare facilities, and large-scale developments, we deliver reliable testing and reporting throughout the construction process.
Using ATTMA-approved procedures and calibrated blower door equipment, we identify air leakage pathways that can impact energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and building performance. Where issues are identified, we provide practical recommendations and retesting services to support compliance and project completion.

WHY FAÇADE TESTING MATTERS
✓ Achieve Compliance
Verifying the watertightness of your façade with NATA-endorsed testing ensures compliance with building codes, standards, building certifier requirements, and design specifications.
✓ Detect Water Leaks Early
Early detection of leaks and vulnerabilities avoids damage from water ingress and costly post-handover repairs. You’ll detect workmanship errors or design flaws before damage occurs.
✓ Safeguard Your Reputation
Verify the work of your sub-contractors, demonstrating your commitment to quality and best-practice.
✓ Quality Assurance
Provide assurance to stakeholders on the performance of the building’s façade. Ensuring the installation quality of your windows, curtain walls, and cladding systems.
✓ Avoid Warranty Claims
Water damage is the leading cause of insurance claims in the construction industry. Reduce warranty claims and detect workmanship errors or design flaws before damage occurs.
✓ Occupant Wellbeing & Liability
Prevent mould and damage from water ingress. Enhancing the long-term value of the building, and the comfort and wellbeing of your occupants.
WHAT’S THE PROCESS?
How we work with you to ensure your façade performs:
-
Tell us about your testing requirements or send us the drawings and engineers reports and we’ll confirm the scope.
-
Receive a fast, tailored and transparent proposal.
-
Our two self-sufficient technicians have tickets needed for almost any façade. They will:
Complete any required inductions.
Review the site and test locations.
Liaise with the site team and other trades to ensure a smooth testing process.
Set-up the test equipment, and then conduct specialist testing (AAMA 501.2) to test your building for water tightness.
They’ll notify the site contact of any identified defects. Providing opportunity to fix and retest minor issues on the same day.
Pack-up and debrief with the site contact if any further actions are required.
-
If issues are found, we provide practical solutions. Our team will retest the repaired area on the same day or, if required, return promptly for retesting.
-
We can provide same day photo reports showing any identified leaks and their location.
When all tested locations have passed, we provide a detailed, NATA-endorsed report, which meets certifier requirements.
What is AAMA 501.2 Water Penetration Testing?
AAMA 501.2 is a testing method developed by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA).
Establishes a field testing method to evaluate the water resistance of installed façade systems.
Specifies procedures for water application, pressure control, and visual inspection for water leakage.
Provides criteria for passing and failing the test based on observed water penetration.
The test and report are widely accepted by architects, specifiers, and building authorities in Australia and internationally.
-
We meet the highest technical standard. Accreditation is be mandatory for some projects.
